Pulqueria | Chinatown Secret Mexican Restaurant
Pulqueria is a hip underground Mexican Restaurant in Chinatown that has a speakeasy feeling to it which makes it even more mysterious and that much more exclusive.. Yep, that’s right, a hip underground drinking and eating oasis. If I wanted to throw a party, this would be the kind of place you would want to have it. Oh so very sexy. Makes for a great date spot, but also a lot of room so also great for larger parties.
The food was all enjoyable! They had a lo of very delicious shareable appetizers, Sikil Pak, which is a pumpkin seed dip, and of course guacamole!  They had a large selection of salads and tacos, along with some pretty inventive entrees and specials. I recommend the pork belly torta and also liked the seafood burrito.  the portions were just right, not to large you felt stuffed afterwards, but not to small you felt cheated.  The drinks were also great! Very refreshing and fruity cocktails. The price point was very reasonable and looking forward to dining here again in the future!

Imagining The Low Line | Essex Street Market
What is the lowline? It’s an underground park in an abandoned trolley terminal beneath Delancey and Essex Streets. The creators Dan Barasch and James Ramsey want to use fiber optic cables to reflect surface sunlight underground, so trees and plants can still photosynthesize and grow underground.
This project has not yet been approved by the MTA but, has been embraced by local businesses and neighborhoods in and around the lower east side. In an effort to convince the MTA this park can be a reality, there is a weeklong exhibit, Imagining the Low Line” , at essex street market.

NEVER LEAVE NYC? No, Not really!  I love to travel, promote it actually, and will incorporate my experiences and fun getaways, but we live in the most exciting city in the WORLD! There is so many cool and interesting things going on in the city. It’s sometimes hard to keep up with it all! And that’s where NLNYC comes in!  I, Aly, will be updating ya’ll with cool events, exhibits, shows, restaurants, fashion trends, travel and much more!    You can literally think of any random thing that interests you, google it, and I bet there is a class or some event happening in NYC that will match your interest! It’s half amazing, half a curse! You possibly can’t do everything that you think is cool! But I try! Ask my friends, I annoy with 100 emails a day =) xx

Fuerza Bruta | Brute Force
There are not that many shows I can see over and over, but Fuertza Burta is definitely one of them! I will have to say it’s one of my all time favorites, I have already seen it 3 times and every time, I have a totally different experience.
This 1/3 modern dance/ club/performance, is action packed and doesn’t have a dull minute the entire show!  I can’t give to much away, as it is very hard to describe, but it’s very existential, and always fun to go in a group and talk about everyone’s experience after the show. I’m sure everyone will have they’re own take.  I think it’s about life, death and rebirth, but I urge you to go see it and see your yourself!  Enjoy the ride!

PS- prepare to get wet!

K-SMART |
Guess where this beautiful Kaftan is from?  This attention-grabbing dress, with royal blue pattern, adorned with beautiful beaded decoration around the neckline, is from… drum roll please… K-MART!  Yes, K- Mart, from the Sofia by Sofia Vergara collection. Originally $39.99 NOW $13.99!
I wore this kaftan to a wedding shower and never had so many compliments on a dress, EVER! Everyone was asking me what boutique I bought it in, which I immediately answered, “some hole in the wall down in the east village,” which is 1/2 a lie, since I did buy it in the the Astor Place K-Mart. Best part is, no one I know shops at K-Mart, so no one will ever know!  Shhh….
More over Target, K-Mart just got cute!
yankeesL-U-V Madonna!Y-O-U You wanna?
Yes can’t hardly wait for Thu, Sep 6, Yankee Stadium! I saw Madonna preform 3 years ago at madison square garden, on her Hard Candy Tour, and it was hands down one of my favorite all time shows, and I have been to a ton of great shows!
We ALL know her songs and it’s real magic to see her preform them all live! Madonna and her dancers are so talented, her stage always amazing and the visuals on the numerous screens are the newest technology out there! Of course it wouldn’t be Madonna without some very racy and political clips that might throw you a curve ball.
She is also preforming, Sep 8 at Yankee Stadium & November 12th at Madison Square Garden.

GUIDO PALAU | SAVAGE BEAUTY | SCHIAPARELLI AND PRADA: IMPOSSIBLE CONVERSATIONS
Guido Pualu is the man behind the Metropolitan Museum’s Masks for the  Alexander McQueen and Schiaparelli & Prade exhibits.
Constructed out of linen, leather, lace and a variety of other materials, these masks custom made, added an enticing and fascinating aura to the exhibits. The elaborate masks complimented the iconic items the mannequins wore. When asked, would McQueen have approved? “I think so, he was always in my mind.”
Designed to complement the fashion, I believe these masks really stole both shows!  These masks could have their own exhibit, and when they do, I’ll be first in line to see it.
